Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Burlington, Vermont (05401) – Vermont nursing jobs
- Unit: McClure 6 – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract
- Start Date: October 20, 2025
- End Date: November 23, 2025
- Duration: 5-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250
- Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Vermont or compact state)
- BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 12 months (mandatory)
- Experience in a large teaching hospital or academic medical center
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Proficient with IV pumps, Phillips monitors, PCA/PCEA, chest tubes, and wound vacs
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation access)
- Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April (Vermont winters)
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to acutely ill medical/surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients using advanced clinical equipment
- Float to similar medical/surgical units as needed
- Accurately document patient care and progress in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
