- Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (52402) – Iowa nursing jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery / Surgery Unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts (start times between 9am–12pm)
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000-$2150
- On Call: None
- Weekends: None
- Unit Size: 28 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- EMR System: EPIC
PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license required
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience in same day surgery, pre-op, or post-op (Phase II RN)
- At least one completed travel nursing contract in the past 12 months
- BLS certification (AHA) – required for all healthcare jobs
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and references (including one supervisory performance evaluation/reference from within 2 years)
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in PACU and ambulatory surgery settings
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and manage patients during pre-op and post-op phases
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
