Travel Nursing Job Details

- Shifts: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Openings: 2 Med/Surg RN positions available
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1590 - $1710
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current prior to first shift)
- Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience as a Med/Surg RN
- Experience in Stepdown, ICU, LTACH, or PCU nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Medical/Surgical hospital setting
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
- Promote patient and staff safety by following all hospital protocols
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission
- Communicate changes in patient status promptly to the healthcare team
- Delegate tasks appropriately and provide training to ancillary staff
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
