Manager – Strategic Intelligence (APAC Focus)

A leading international consultancy is seeking a Manager to join its Asia practice, based in London. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex due diligence and strategic intelligence projects across the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Greater China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. It is well suited to individuals with strong analytical and communication skills, regional expertise, and a proven ability to manage demanding client engagements.

The Role

As Manager, you will:

Oversee the delivery of enhanced due diligence and strategic intelligence assignments across APAC.
Produce high-quality, client-ready reports and visual presentations.
Conduct and manage public domain research and human source enquiries.
Provide in-depth briefings to clients and internal stakeholders on ongoing projects, country risk, and sector-specific issues.
Contribute to business development activities, including drafting proposals and engaging with prospective clients.
Build and maintain networks across the region to support information gathering and project delivery.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:

Relevant professional experience in business intelligence and consulting.
Expertise in at least one Asia-Pacific market, with strong knowledge of commercial and regulatory risks facing investors in the region.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in an Asian language—such as Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Korean—which will be considered a significant advantage.
Strong commercial awareness, cultural understanding, and interest in Asian politics, business, and current affairs.
The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence in client-facing roles and the ability to build trusted relationships.
