Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU/Pre-Op position requiring MA licensure, recent acute care travel experience, and AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pre-Operative and PACU unit within a hospital setting
- Care for pre-operative and post-anesthesia patients
- 8-hour day shifts, five shifts per week
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is strongly preferred
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
- Direct patient care in a dynamic perioperative environment
- Team-oriented culture with support from experienced staff
- Scrubs of any color are permitted
- Bi-weekly orientation sessions ensure smooth onboarding
- Must maintain compliance with all required vaccinations and certifications
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1-2 years recent acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience is required; first time travelers will not be considered
- Experience with Epic charting system is strongly preferred
- Flu vaccine required during flu season
- Must be willing to work every other major holiday
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibility; local applicants accepted at local rate
