Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a MA license, critical care expertise, and flexible day/night rotation.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of an acute care hospital
- Care for critically ill pediatric patients in a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated facility with Level III/IV NICU
- Staffed in a 50/50 day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) 12-hour shift rotation, working three shifts per week
- Every other weekend is required
- May float within scope to CICU, MSICU, and NICU based on facility needs
- Use of ventilators and EPIC EMR system is required
- Responsibilities include managing critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment
- Floating to other critical care and intensive care units may be necessary
- Solid color scrubs are required for all units
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
- Parking arrangements include discounted off-site day passes with shuttle service and free night shift parking
- COVID-19 vaccination and standard hospital compliance requirements apply
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand is required
- Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU RN experience
- Current BLS and PALS certifications are required
- Critical care experience including ventilator management is required
- Must have prior travel RN experience
- Professional references required from two of the last three employers, each at different facilities
