Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a CA license and strong maternal-newborn care skills for a day shift contract.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
Care for pregnant patients, infants, and postpartum mothers
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
Epic charting experience preferred
Float and call requirements not specified
Main responsibilities include providing labor, delivery, and postpartum care, including newborn management
Online modules and orientation required, with module hours varying by specialty
Return staff must have been gone at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
A 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
Only one holiday requested off (RTO) will be approved and no Christmas RTO is allowed
Must provide two recent supervisor references for consideration

Requirements

Active CA RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (provider) certifications required
Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
Must be comfortable caring for both newborns and postpartum mothers
Epic EMR experience preferred
Must be available to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing
All certifications must be from AHA or American Red Cross and in hand for consideration
