Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties, including endo, neuro, and robotics, for weekday shifts with call.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
- Shifts are weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.
- Overnight call is required Monday through Friday, with potential holiday call coverage
- Patient cases include craniotomies, laparoscopic, endovascular, neuro, endo, and robotics, excluding CV surgery
- Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required; additional orientation provided if not met
- Responsibilities include circulating for a wide range of surgical cases except CV surgery
- First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- No block scheduling or special schedule requests granted
- Holiday call participation may be required
- Return staff are eligible for consideration
- All RTO must be requested at the time of application; additional requests will not be approved
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or Compact) required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room experience
- Experience circulating in all surgical areas, including endo, neuro, and robotics cases
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months strongly preferred; competency exam required if experience is lacking
- Men must be able to shave to pass a Fit Test
- Two professional references required
