- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Location: Wilkes Barre, PA 18764 (Northeastern Pennsylvania)
- Start Date: October 27, 2025
- End Date: January 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend and holiday
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680 - $1800
- Unit: General Med/Surg, Post-Op Surgical, Bariatrics, Oncology
- Facility Size: 352 beds
- Unit Size: 21 beds
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Pennsylvania nursing license preferred)
- 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience in a hospital setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Tele experience required
- Ability to float to MS Tele unit as needed (patient ratio 1:6)
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Med/Surg unit
- Care for general medical, post-operative, bariatric, and oncology patients
- Perform remote telemetry monitoring with support from monitor techs
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to MS Tele unit and adapt to surge plans (patient ratio up to 1:7)
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
