Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a MA RN license, BLS-AHA, and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

Work in the Obstetrics Delivery unit of a hospital setting
Provide perinatal care including prenatal evaluation, labor and birth, intraoperative and recovery care, postpartum, and maternal/newborn couplet care
Night shift position with 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Every other weekend rotation is required
Care provided for well babies and special care for premature and high acuity newborns
Biweekly orientation program available
Must be separated from the health system for at least 6 months to be eligible for rehire
No local candidates within a 50-mile radius except on a case-by-case basis
Flu vaccine must be documented during onboarding; no declinations accepted
Responsibilities include providing intrapartum and postpartum care, participating in operative deliveries, and caring for couplet dyads
Must pass required testing modules during onboarding

Requirements

Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS-AHA and NRP certifications required
3-5+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience strongly preferred
Comfort with OR procedures is preferred
Flu and COVID vaccinations (including booster) required; medical exemptions allowed
