Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a MA license and prior charge experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Charge nurse responsibilities are required
- Must be willing to float to Addison Gilbert Hospital as needed
- 13-week contract assignment
- Role includes emergency department charge nurse duties and supervision
- Must be prepared to cover emergency care responsibilities and support team operations
- Day one testing includes Tele/ECG and medication competency evaluations
- RTO (time off) must be declared upfront for consideration
- First time travelers are accepted if requirements are met
- Dress code/scrub requirements will be provided during onboarding
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Must have at least 2 years of emergency room RN experience
- Charge RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Must pass a day one onsite pass/fail test and two Relias tests during onboarding
- COVID vaccination series with booster and current Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
- No previous employment at the health system within the last 6 months in any capacity
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates allowed
