Supplemental Health Care is seeking skilled Radiation Therapists to fill a contract opportunity at a partnering Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T).
- Active state license, if required by Illinois.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- 1–2 years of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist
Radiation Therapist Contract Details:
- $2,580 - $2,746 per week*
- 13-week contract, with possibility of extension
- 40 hours per week
- Hospital setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
- Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver safe, effective treatments.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary while maintaining detailed records.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and oncology nurses to ensure quality patient care.
- Provide patient education, reassurance, and support throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain compliance with all safety standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
