Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a focus on Pediatrics and a NICU background. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, although first-time travelers with a strong skill set may also be considered. The position includes working with neonates and pediatric patients in a critical care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory therapy to neonates and pediatric patients.
- Perform assessments, interventions, and treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues.
- Manage ventilatory support for critically ill patients, including intubation and extubation procedures.
- Utilize a variety of advanced respiratory equipment and technology.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment usage.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Two years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in a NICU or pediatric setting.
- Active RRT certification required.
- PALS and NRP certification required.
- State licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist.
- Charge experience preferred but not mandatory.
