Peripheral Vascular (PV) Surgical Technologist
Guaranteed Hours per Week: 40 hrs
Shift Requirements: Monday Friday usually , but some times flexed depending on the case types
Float Requirements: May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations if needed.
On Call/Call-Back: On Call/Call-Back: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 back up per week. Could on occasion need additional call. 30 min response time meaning traveler must be ready and in the OR within that 30 min.
Weekend/Holiday: every 3-4th weekend (about 1 weekend peer month). Holiday rotation
Required Certifications: AHA BLS, CST license preferred
Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
• Experience in Vascular and basic general OR skills - required
• Endovascular skills (usually acquired in the Cath Lab setting) beneficial, but willing to train the right candidate
level 2 trauma experience preferred
Traveler must have their own vehicle and can not rely on Uber/Lyft due to on call responsibilities.
Charting/Equipment: facility uses epic charting
Unit Specific Skillset: Efficient in setting up an operative suite for patients, accountable for going through case carts to ensure all supplies are available, efficient in scrubbing surgical cases in a variety of specialties, turning over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day.
Required skills: Peripheral vascular - Looking for a flexible candidate with excellent work ethic that is also willing to do downtime tasks, if needed. Needs to be motivated during downtime; pulling case carts, cleaning, ect
Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates.
Scrub Colors: any color
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
Travelers can be put on call for low census hours. The on-call hours that travelers are placed on will count toward the 36 low census unbillable hours. If the traveler is called back to the facility, they will be able to receive call back pay.
