ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
- Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment within their scope of practice.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
- Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
- Apply established protocols to obtain necessary limited radiographs and/or DEXA.
- Required to set up and use all necessary diagnostic equipment for exam completion in limited general diagnostic exams.
- Positions patients for radiological and/or DEXA examinations. Produces limited radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
- Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
License/Certification:
- Requires registration as a Practical Technologist in Radiology.
- Requires registration as a Certified Practical Technologist in Radiology by the State
- SimonMed Imaging requires valid CPR certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
