**Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse**
**Location:** Cleveland, OH (Cleveland Clinic Main Campus)
**Shift:**
- Day: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Night: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
**Contract Length:** Up to 18 weeks (rotating days and nights; typically consists of 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights, with potential for rotation based on hospital needs)
**Description:**
Join a reputable healthcare facility as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse. This position requires a dedicated professional who possesses a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit.
- Monitor and assess patients' health status, recognizing changes in condition and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and care interventions.
- Participate in patient education, promoting health and wellness.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
- Required to have 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments.
- Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required.
- Availability to work at least every other holiday.
**Testing Requirements:**
- ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation; acceptable scores are required to continue in the position.
**Additional Information:**
- The facility has specific requirements regarding the nicotine-free policy, background checks, and drug screenings.
- Employees are expected to complete pre-start modules and additional annual training as necessary.
