The Maintenance Technician is responsible for enhancing their technical knowledge and skill set through ongoing training and development as well as promoting safe work practices by leading by example.
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is part of the Manufacturing & Operations job family located in Richmond, IL and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work while following safety standards which comply with all company, local, state and federal guidelines
- Repair/service various types of production equipment (filling, labeling, milling, etc.)
- Mechanical maintenance/service for facility systems (air compressors, HVAC systems, etc.)
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in production equipment maintenance; familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Must have own hand tools and possess strong troubleshooting skills with practical electrical and mechanical aptitude; able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics, and demonstrate basic proficiency in computer and math skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, with availability for weekends and overtime as needed.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Must be able to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly
- Standing/walking is required up to 90% of the workday
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be comfortable working from heights and in environments with potential exposure to humidity, outdoor weather, high noise levels, and dust.
- May need to travel offsite occasionally using personal vehicle
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Maintenance for medical manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Office Suite, and other business software.
- Familiarity with lathe, mill, surface grinder, and drill press operations.

The hourly range for this role is $36.05/hr - 40.86/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
