Job Title: Lead Medical Coordinator

Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 Position Summary: Arranges or partners with other health professionals regarding health and safety standards for out-of-home childcare, childcare licensing requirements, disease reporting requirements for care providers, immunizations for children, injury prevention for children, medication management and knowledge of community health and mental health resources for children.

- Coordinate team based medical care for the children placed in the center.
- Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate medical records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing and/or funding requirements.
- Review ORR portal for compliance with medical information upload requirements and ensure updates are input as needed for safety and timely discharge.
- Complete calls with sponsors as assigned to provide medical information.
- Actively participate in medical and service-related resource development prior to children's discharge.
- Participate in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all medical needs of the children for designated social service program(s).
- Provide documented information related to identified delays in the medical assessments.
- Attend scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions and operations to represent the medical needs of the children.
- Coordinate medical resources for all employees and resource family homes.
- Adhere to Child Abuse and reporting requirements.
- Must be relied upon regarding task completion and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, work quality, or customer service satisfaction.
- Attending meetings and training when needed or requested.
- Perform other duties as requested by the assigned supervisor and/or management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervise, coaches, and mentors staff providing guidance to their work and learning including, when necessary, corrective/disciplinary action in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications :

- 2+ years case aid experience in progressive challenges.
- 2+ years working experience with children and families preferred.
- 1+ years of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
Required: - Must be at least 21 years of age.
Education/ Experience: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing license (BSN) and two to four years' experience working with children and families.
Language Ability: Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
Mathematical Ability: Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory.
Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Dealing with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient in the use of standard office equipment.
