Position Responsibilities
The ED Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Key duties include:
- Assessing patient needs and implementing care plans.
- Utilizing advanced equipment and technology for patient monitoring.
- Collaboration and communication with a multidisciplinary team.
- Adhering to safety protocols and department guidelines.
- Coaching and providing feedback to team members in real-time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Level II trauma center or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before starting.
- Flexibility to float within various sections of the ED.
- Must embody a teamwork mentality and possess excellent communication skills.
Unit Specifics
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds.
- Documentation System: Cerner
