Executive Administrator Real Estate and Development

Description
Create strategies to foster economic growth, attract investment, and develop and implement programs for economic and financial growth while overseeing and supporting relevant departments. Manage and administer economic development and development actions including agreements, construction, financial components, including negotiating complex and highly technical agreements and real property transactions while incorporating and promoting the cultural strength, history, and vision of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
• Plan, organize, and manage the administration, operations, and budget of the Real Estate and Development department
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the progress of achievement plans, strategies, goals, and objectives
• Conduct research studies, needs assessments, and analysis related to economic development
• Prepare and present reports, studies, analyses, and recommendations to Tribal Council
• Coordinate program and project activities, including real estate acquisition and disposition, with other relevant departments and outside agencies
• Negotiate with persons and firms for economic development projects
• Assess market research and negotiate rental or lease agreements for land and space on trust and fee simple properties, entice business development on Trust Lands
• Provide positive leadership to direct reports, thereby overseeing a helpful and productive department who strives for excellence
• Coordinate and direct communications, personnel, and resources to meet tribal business needs and assure smooth and efficient operations; oversee the development and implementation of programs, projects, functions, services, goals, objectives, systems and activities; assure proper and timely resolution of issues and conflicts related to assigned activities
• Provide consultation and technical expertise on economic development and planning
• Respond to inquiries, resolve issues and conflicts and provide detailed and technical information concerning related laws, codes, standards, requirements, goals, objectives, budgets, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Align culture and strategy to strengthen sovereignty and long-term prosperity for the Tribe
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree, public or business administration, economics, urban planning, construction management, or a closely related field. A Masters of Business Administration degree is preferred. A minimum of eight years of increasingly responsible experience in economic development, commercial and industrial real estate, urban redevelopment, finance, accounting, management, business development, or ownership.
