The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Administrative Coordinator.
Current vacancy is located in the Division of Facilities & Construction (DFC). The position will provide division-wide supervision on fiscal, facilities, supplies, and project management operations. They will also coordinate and manage complex administration or business-related studies to address needs and improve division's effectiveness, efficiency, and management decision-making.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following Knowledge: - Principles and techniques of organization, administration, personnel management, and budget development and control
- Principles and techniques of project and process management; methods of comparative cost analyses
- Concepts and applications of database/information management software to administrative and financial management systems
- Statistical software, analysis and research techniques
- Principles of budgeting and related recordkeeping and reporting procedures
- Principles and techniques of policy analysis and development
- Fundamental concepts of employment laws, codes, and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and Cal/OSHA and applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreements

Required Education and Experience Education: A bachelor's degree with major coursework in business administration, public administration, industrial/organizational psychology, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience: Four years of experience compiling and analyzing data, preparing reports, and making recommendations regarding business processes and functions, such as budgets, procurement, workflow, staffing, and records systems, or three years of experience as an Administrative Analyst with the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
Equivalency Provision: Graduate coursework in the field of business administration, public administration, industrial/organizational psychology, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to two years.
Additional Requirements: Some positions may require a valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites.
