Job Description Land Development & Infrastructure Practice: Michael Baker International's civil engineering professionals manage and staff active projects in over 40 countries on five continents. Services are provided for a broad range of projects and capabilities, including highways, airports, bridges, rail and transit systems, government and commercial facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure, and commercial/urban development. Our fields of expertise span all areas of civil engineering and include an extensive variety of specialty disciplines, such as environmental compliance and restoration, coastal engineering, urban development, and mining.
What We're Looking For: Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate to join our Land Development team in the Moon Township, PA office. The Civil Associate will be a Site Civil/Land Development Project Engineer for all aspects of planning, design, and plan preparation for a variety of land development projects.
A Hybrid working arrangement is available within the US . SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION. US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. What You'll Do: - Design civil infrastructure including roadways, sewers, and utilities
- Prepare water and storm drain improvement plans
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations
- Develop land grading plans, both rough and precise
- Create cost estimates and technical specifications for projects
What You Need to Succeed: - Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 2-5 years of related experience
- EIT certification: ability to obtain PE license within 1 year of hire
- Experience in plan preparation
- Experience in preparation of design calculations, quantities, estimates, and specifications
- Preferred qualifications
- Strong technical background in site development
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Goal oriented and quality focused
Compensation: The approximate compensation range for this position $67,049 - $96,819 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
