Position Overview The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Public Information Coordinator in the Department of Communication. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, coordinates and participates in the development and implementation of public information and communication activities for the City of Henderson; and performs related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule and Environment :
Standard shift assignments include four (4) day work weeks (Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm) that can include rotating, on-call expectations. Incumbent may expect work to be conducted in a traditional office environment based out of Henderson City Hall with occasional travel.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major course work in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications, or a closely related field
- Three (3) years of full-time experience in public information, marketing, journalism, or communications
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
