Summary The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management is responsible to the ASD(Acquisition) for managing and analyzing over $150 billion in assigned information and integration capability portfolios across the Department in the nuclear weapons systems; nuclear command, control, and communications; missile defense; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; and space mission areas.

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and analyzes assigned capability portfolios across the Department to assess cost, schedule, and performance risks to information and integration portfolios. Responsibilities include Cyber; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4/ISR); Missile Defense; Strategic Deterrence & Capability; and Space Systems (across DoD Intelligence Community). Serves as USD(A&S)'s Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise capability portfolio manager.
- On behalf of USD(A&S), leads, and provides technical direction in support of, strategic system reviews, nuclear modernization acquisition programs, and nuclear treaty compliance including advising senior leadership on the full range of nuclear force platform and delivery system modernization and sustainment programs.
- Partners with the USSTRATCOM, the Secretary's designated Enterprise Lead for NC3, to address acquisition, resource and policy challenges hindering accelerated NC3 modernization and mission success.
- Executes Secretariat responsibility and support to USD(A&S) as co-chair for both the Missile Defense Executive Board and the Precision, Timing and Navigation Executive Committee to integrate multiple disciplines into a cohesive whole across science and technology, requirements, acquisition, development, test and evaluation, and sustainment to equip the applicable Department organizations.
- Provides acquisition management support in the areas of strategic systems, nuclear modernization, and nuclear treaty compliance including advising senior leadership on the full range of nuclear force platform and delivery system modernization and sustainment programs.

Education THIS POSITION HAS AN EDUCATION REQUIREMENT (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE PROVIDED): A. Degree: Engineering.
