About The PositionWe are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 2-day locum tenens assignment in South Dakota. This urgent role begins Aug 31, 2025, and includes 24-hour in-house shifts, where the provider will be the sole medical professional rounding on ED patients and stabilizing them for transfer. This position requires a Physician Assistant with certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and BLS, and experience in rural emergency settings is preferred.

- Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts from 8a to 8a, including potential for future sporadic dates
Responsibilities and Duties- Serve as the sole provider in the emergency department
- Conduct patient rounds, assess medical needs, and stabilize patients for transfer
- Ensure compliance with all required certifications and emergency protocols
- Manage emergency medical situations effectively with a high level of autonomy
Additional Information- Required board certifications in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
- Must be licensed to practice in South Dakota
- Ideal candidate will have experience as a sole provider in rural emergency settings
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specific system to be disclosed upon application
