SUMMARY: The Parks and Recreation Administrator assists the Parks and Recreation Director in the overall administration, leadership, and strategic planning of the Parks and Recreation Department. This position oversees a combination of city-wide programs, operations, staff supervision, and strategic initiatives, including budget preparation, capital improvement projects, community relations, and long-term planning. The incumbent is responsible for aligning operations and programs with city goals while ensuring high-quality services and compliance with all applicable regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Five years of related experience in parks and recreation and/or municipal government, including three years in management or supervisory roles.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification preferred.
