Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct and document comprehensive physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological assessments.
- Develop and evaluate patient care plans by synthesizing data and utilizing evidence, with authority to order and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in procedural skills relevant to pediatric critical care.
- Manage, refer, counsel, and educate patients and their families on current and preventive healthcare.
- Engage in quality initiatives, workshops, and research projects to enhance clinical practices and outcomes.
- Maintain effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care delivery.
Additional Information
- Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
- EMR System Used: Epic
- Must possess relevant certifications including BLS, NRP, and PALS
- Licensure as a PA in Texas is mandatory
