Unit: Emergency Room (46-bed Level II Trauma Center)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 08/25/2025 (or ASAP)
Shift Options: Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:30–08:00)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Job Overview
Seeking experienced ER RNs for a high-volume (140 daily visits) Level II Trauma Center. Must thrive in fast-paced environments managing diverse cases—from trauma to pediatric emergencies. 3+ years of ER experience required; travel experience preferred.
Requirements & Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Active MD RN or Compact License (required at submission)
- Certifications:
- Required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA only)
- Preferred: CEN, ENPC
Experience
- Minimum 3 years ER experience (4–5 years preferred)
- Level II Trauma experience (required)
- Epic charting proficiency (required)
- Travel experience preferred (3+ years ideal)
Key Skills
- Trauma: Gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, neuro-trauma
- Pediatrics: Seizures, asthma, sickle cell crisis, abuse identification
- Procedures: Intubation, chest tube management, procedural sedation
- Cardiac: STEMI care, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG
Schedule & Unit Details
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 (all shifts)
- Volume: 140 daily visits (mix of adult/pediatric)
- Special Equipment: Belmont rapid infuser, LUCAS device, Giraffe warmers
- Floating: Within ER as needed
- Holidays: Worked as scheduled
- Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 requests allowed (≤7 days; >4 days adds contract week)

- Chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, multi-system trauma
