Description Summary: This 36-bed Orthopedic Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of patients ranging from Orthopedic, Spine, Neurological, Plastics, and Trauma related surgeries. This unit serves the general adult population ranging from young adult to geriatric. Located on the 6th floor, this specialty inpatient unit operates at an accelerated pace caring for post-operative patients, trauma stepdown, and patients admitted through the ED. Our care is driven by our mission and core values at CHRISTUS. The department promotes a team atmosphere with a focus on patient-centered care. Our team works very closely with Beaumont Bone and Joint, our Physical Therapy department, and an in-housed Nurse Practitioner to provide an exceptional level of post-surgical care. A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Brooklyn, NY. The position requires board certification in Anesthesiology and proficiency in adult anesthesia, including regional techniques. It covers a diverse case mix, including robotic surgery (GU, GS, Gyn), orthopedics, neurosurgery (intracranial and spine), ENT, bariatric, oral surgery, surgical oncology, trauma, OB (C-sections, epidurals), MRI/occasional IR or GI, vascular, thoracic, and plastics.
