Job Details Job Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in legal support, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role demands a high level of organization, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a deep understanding of legal procedures and terminology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our litigation team, ensuring smooth case progression and efficient workflow. Responsibilities: Provide direct support to our litigation attorneys, including but not limited to drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining case files. Manage the attorney calendar, scheduling court dates, meetings, and deadlines. Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document collection, organization, and production. Prepare and file court documents in compliance with established guidelines and deadlines. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to coordinate meetings, depositions, and hearings. Track and record billable hours, ensuring accurate and timely submission. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules and filing procedures to ensure compliance. Assist with trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits, trial binders, and other materials. Perform administrative tasks as required, such as answering phones, maintaining office supplies, and managing correspondence. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or similar role in a law firm or legal department. Proficiency in calendaring litigation deadlines and managing complex schedules. Strong knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and legal terminology. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research software. Familiarity with document management systems and timekeeping software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. High degree of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is preferred, but not required.
