Job Details Job Details: Our top-tier healthcare facility is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Physician Assistant Surgical Nocturnist to join our team on nights. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on patient lives and contribute to the forefront of medical innovation. As a Surgical Nocturnist, you will work primarily during night shifts, providing critical care to post-surgical patients and managing any emergent issues that arise. This role requires a high level of responsibility and autonomy, and will offer the successful candidate the chance to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care in a post-surgical setting, managing a variety of complex cases and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Perform thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage the implementation of these plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals. Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergent issues, utilizing your clinical judgement and decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and wellbeing. Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner. Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in your field and continually striving to improve your clinical skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current certification as a Physician Assistant. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, with a focus on surgical nocturnist or critical care preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Strong commitment to patient care, with a passion for providing high-quality, individualized care to each patient. Current BLS and ACLS certification. Ability to work night shifts, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Must have a strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and health care administration ethics.
