Represent clients before regulatory agencies, including the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Counsel clients on matters involving site remediation and brownfield redevelopment. Counsel clients on land use and other NJDEP permitting and compliance requirements. Provide environmental support in transactional matters, including due diligence and risk assessment. Assist with or lead environmental litigation and enforcement matters. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop practical, business-oriented solutions. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; admission to the New York Bar a plus. Minimum of 6+ years of experience in environmental law, with a focus on permitting and compliance. Experience representing clients before NJDEP, EPA, and/or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Demonstrated experience with site remediation, brownfields, and environmental due diligence. Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory frameworks related to air, water, and waste. Litigation experience in environmental matters is a plus. Prior experience in the Office of the Attorney General and/or judicial clerkship preferred. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
