About the Position Job Quick Facts:

• Specialty: Internal Medicine • Job Type: Permanent • Facility Location: Rome, NY • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Vacancy • Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Work Schedule: 7p-7a - 7 on/ 7 off • Patient Volume: 5-10 • Duties/Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care - Conduct thorough admissions from the emergency department and direct admissions from referring physicians - Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently - Monitor and manage acute medical conditions for patients admitted to the hospitalist service, including those in the open ICU, with 24/7 intensivist consultant support for complex or critical cases. - Collaborate closely with nursing staff, specialists, case managers, and ancillary teams to coordinate effective patient care plans and ensure safe, efficient patient flow

Requirements: • Active NY License or willing to obtain • BC/BE • DEA • Clean Record • 1 year of hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred
