**Exciting Opportunity for an RN in Critical Care - Days!**
Job Description:
- Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, working the DAY shift from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Start your journey ASAP and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Systematically re-assess patients to track progress and identify trends that need intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with Nursing Standards of Care.
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions grounded in facts and evaluations of patient outcomes; modify care plans as necessary.
- Engage in health education and discharge planning with patients and their significant others.
- Perform timely interventions tailored to patient needs and document processes accurately.
- Carry out various Point of Care testing procedures.
**Staff Responsibilities:**
- Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve intended patient care outcomes.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure seamless patient care support activities.
- Adjust team assignments based on patient and unit needs and ensure quality follow-ups on delegated tasks.
- Resolve issues utilizing the appropriate chain of command efficiently.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and students within the unit.
- Serve as a resource for visitors, physicians, and fellow staff members by promoting a positive environment and showing courtesy.
**Customer Relations:**
- Foster high levels of patient and customer satisfaction through respectful actions and behaviors.
- Exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
- Uphold the hospital’s credibility and integrity, contributing to continuous service improvement.
**Other Responsibilities:**
- Assist with special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Maintain a professional attitude, even during stressful periods.
- Take responsibility for personal professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, maintaining positive attendance and proactive communication regarding absences.
- Adhere to all patient and environmental safety protocols.
**Requirements:**
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
**Certification/Licenses:**
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC Certifications required.
**Skills:**
- Up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the age/type of patient population served.
- Strong understanding and sensitivity to patient rights in care delivery.
- Clear and concise communication tailored to the developmental age of patients.
