This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, primarily during the day. Possible shifts include:
07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
The role also requires on-call availability for one weekend per month.
Job Description
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Your objective will be to support the rehabilitation process by implementing treatment plans and maintaining a continuous focus on improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of physical therapy treatment as directed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
Educate patients and their families about treatment goals and exercises.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Document patient care and treatment in compliance with facility policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of California.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
