Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is a comprehensive healthcare provider committed to improving the health and wellness of the community through advanced medical services and compassionate care. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our perioperative department. In this full-time, on-site role, you will coordinate the daily clinical operations of the operating room, ensuring that safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care remains the top priority.

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator – OR, you will function as a clinical leader and resource for the surgical nursing team. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other interprofessional team members to support optimal patient outcomes and a smooth surgical workflow. Your responsibilities will include overseeing patient flow, assisting with daily room and staffing assignments, and supporting case scheduling adjustments in partnership with the OR leadership team. You will participate directly in perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative circulating responsibilities, and coordination of transitions to post-anesthesia care when needed.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with strong perioperative and operating room experience who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. You are comfortable balancing hands-on patient care with coordination and leadership responsibilities, exercising sound clinical judgment, and maintaining composure under pressure. You will engage patients and families with compassion, provide clear education about procedures and recovery, and advocate for patient dignity and comfort at every step.
