Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care while coordinating and overseeing daily clinical operations to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered services. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator functions as a clinical expert, resource, and role model for bedside nurses and support staff, assisting with patient assignments, workflow management, clinical decision-making, and escalation of care as needed. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized plans of care, support evidence-based practice, and promote excellent patient outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring nursing staff, facilitating orientation and ongoing competency development, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and assisting with scheduling, staffing, and bed management to optimize patient flow. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator actively participates in quality and safety initiatives, including monitoring adherence to policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements, and responding promptly to patient and family concerns. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
