- Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights
- Full Time - 40 hours/week
- Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating evenings, weekends and holidays: 7:00am - 3:30pm

A Brief Overview:In addition to performing the duties of a Pharmacy Technician, functions as a resource and advocate for other technicians. Responsible for the initial training and ongoing performance monitoring of the pharmacy technicians. Ensures daily activities are completed within Department's quality and time standards, and supports Department's goals and initiatives. Works only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and cannot perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
What you will do:- Ensures safe, and timely preparation and distribution of medications.
- Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
- Performs work within specified time frames. Adapts positively to frequent interruptions and changes in workload and/or work schedule.
- Provides courteous, cooperative and timely service to nurses, patients, visitors and staff. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication.
- Performs staff technician duties.
- Prepares work schedules with management oversight. Maintains an appropriate staffing level within department budgetary parameters.
- Oversees daily activities and adjusts assignments and personnel to meet quality and time standards for pharmacy operations.
What you will need:- High School General Studies Required Or
- Three years of hospital pharmacy experience as a pharmacy technician
- Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician, and
- Successfully passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination, and maintains a current Pharmacy Technician Certification
