Job Summary
The Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition and telemetry readings
- Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and timely
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols
- Perform effectively in high-acuity and high-stress situations
Skills & Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing preferred
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working night shifts
