Telemetry RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- At least 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry or acute care nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for Telemetry unit patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
