ICU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/26/2026, End: 3/18/2026)
- Setting: Level I Trauma Center ICU
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (New York State or compact state, or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (Level I trauma center experience preferred)
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Ability to float to various ICU settings: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Float as needed to multiple ICU units and provide clinical support for a diverse patient population
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Epic EMR
- Provide education and support to patients and families
