Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Acuity adaptable unit with patients ranging from Medical-Surgical to PCU/Stepdown/ICU level of care
• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity type and patient needs
• Float position that may require floating to inpatient PCU unit
• Boarding unit where patients come from ED and are boarded until discharge or transfer
• 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 bed unit based on need
• Team nursing environment with RN/LPN collaboration and delegation responsibilities
• Must be comfortable with high patient turnover - up to 15 admissions per day
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts, 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Cerner charting system required
• 2 years of experience required with PCU experience necessary
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to Med-Surg/PCU units within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including ED boarding patients
