- Location: Harvey, IL 60426 (Chicago area)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Medical/Surgical (E4)
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required
- Charting System: Epic
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- NIHSS certification (preferred)
- Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)
- COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must pass EKG strip test during orientation
- Maximum 7 days requested time off during assignment
- Two professional references (one from a direct supervisor/manager)
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical/surgical patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, provide oxygen therapy, and manage peripheral lines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in rapid response/code teams
- Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
- Provide compassionate support and clinical care to patients and families
