Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota (zip 58104)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Medical/Surgical Unit (32 private rooms)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- End Date: May 18, 2026
- Travel Nursing Requirement: Must reside more than 60 miles from facility
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
- Active Registered Nurse license (ND or compact state)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Level 1 trauma nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Willingness to float to all Med/Surg units across three Fargo campuses
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Demonstrate clinical competency across the full scope of nursing practice
- Apply age and population-specific standards in clinical care
- Provide nursing care to a variety of adult Med/Surg patients, including those with behavioral health needs
- Float to additional Medical-Surgical units as required
- Utilize clinical equipment: EPIC EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, AccuVein, and Omnicell
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
- Follow facility policies, including badge in/out and navy blue scrub dress code
