- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
- EMR: Epic EMR experience required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown, or similar high-acuity clinical setting
- Current ACLS certification
- Advanced competency in hemodynamics, including pressor titration protocols
- Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols
- Proficiency with HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
- Navy blue scrubs required
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, trauma, and surgical complications
- Manage a patient load of 3 high-acuity patients in the Progressive Care Unit
- Administer and titrate critical medications and intravenous drips according to clinical protocols
- Monitor, interpret, and document advanced hemodynamic data
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies
- Accurately document all patient care in the Epic EMR system
