Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Kankakee, Illinois.

**Peds Experience not required** this is a primarily adult unit with the very rare possibly of having peds patients. Beds: 20 - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 days and nights. - Required certifications: BLS. Pals preferred. - Common diagnoses: COPD, PN, DVT, simple surgeries- appe, chole, bowel surgeries, SBO. DM. No back/spine/strokes. Peds, Cysto- CBI. PD on the unit (will train). Peds- respiratory- RSV, bronchiolitis (HFNC) Bili, FTT, Appe, fractures, pain control. - One year okay. First time traveler okay. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- per protocol. - Common titratable: Heparin, octreotide, protonix. - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Medical tele. Nurses verify strips. Central monitoring tech monitors and reads. -
