Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Torrington, CT 06791 (Connecticut healthcare jobs)
- Facility: 28-bed Med/Surg unit (20 telemetry beds, 12 private rooms, 16 double rooms)
- Job Type: Travel RN assignment
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 12, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
- Current ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical/surgical and intermediate stroke diagnoses
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system
- Support inpatient dialysis services within the unit
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
