Provides screening and diagnostic mammography and breast sonography for interpretation by radiologists. If primary job assignment includes special procedures: assisting the radiologist in the performance of needle localizations and biopsies and provides the patient care essential to radiological procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Assists in general radiographic and office duties as needed. If primary job assignment is on the mammography van is able to drive the mobile unit to different sites throughout Mercy East Communities. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED
Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technology
program
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Certification/Registration: Must be certified by the ARRT. R.T(M) + R.T. (BS) or RDMS (BR) or obtains certification in mammography. (Breast Ultrasound Certification)
Other skills & knowledge: Breast Biopsy and Needle Localization procedures
(skills, knowledge, abilities)
