What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence, personal growth, and a high quality of life. You will serve as a trusted advocate while promoting safety, dignity, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement daily routines based on Individual Program Plans (IPP)
Support development and achievement of IPP/ISP goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment
Assist with community, social, and recreational activities
Provide personal care support (grooming, hygiene, dressing, toileting)
Prepare meals and assist with household tasks
Transport individuals using company vans as needed
Report incidents and communicate with administrators
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience (personal or professional)
Preferred: experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs
DSP Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 and CPI (preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months)
First Aid/CPR (preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid California Driver’s License
Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including a background check
