- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM), 3 shifts/week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
- Floating: May float within discipline across local campuses
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
- Ability to float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Taxable address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Surgical/Ortho 6S unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC EMR
- Float to other Med/Surg or Stepdown units as required
- Educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
